Locations and Sublocations

We recently updated the system and removed the column name "sub location."  Now the word "Location" is used to represent all locations, whether it is a sub location or not.  We have not removed the concept of sub locations.  The system still supports primary locations with infinite sub locations, which is critical for any collections management.

The other change that has been implemented is how Locations are displayed.  Locations are displayed as a full representation of the location, to include the sub location.  For example, the bedroom at "123 Main Street" would be "123 Main Street - Bedroom."    This improvement not only aids in the display of a location, but also in the ability to report and sort on locations, which was limited prior to these changes.  Furthermore, this change also allowed us to add a tree-navigation feature on the main Objects page, which allows the user to see a global view of Artists, Collections, and Locations. Now a User can quickly navigate to a specific artist, collection, location or sub-location without the need to search or move to a different tab.
